Spokane nonprofits are feeling the sting of the struggling economy as donations have declined, diminishing their ability to provide needed services to our community. Many nonprofits are now depending on more volunteers to do the jobs previously completed by staff.
Non-profits can apply to receive additional financial donations from both Federal and State government employee payroll deduction programs through the CFC (Combined Federal Campaign) and CFD (Combined Funded Drive).
Government employees may choose to send financial donations to selected charities through a payroll deduction, by accessing the Federal CFC or the Washington State CFD program. Employees may donate to local, state, national or international organizations.
Citizens are vital to the success of nonprofits which work to assist those in need.
