Habitat for Humanity-Spokane
Provide hope, stability and dignity for families in partnership while building our community through quality home ownership. We are an ecumenical nonprofit Christian ministry bringing the community together to build decent, affordable homes for those in need.
Habitat for Humanity creates a partnership between local families, volunteers and businesses to build affordable decent housing for low income families. Habitat is "a hand up, not a hand out." Each family must fully repay a 30-year, interest-free mortgage and contribute 500 hours of "sweat equity" toward Habitat homes and projects.
History: Since 1987, Habitat for Humanity-Spokane has built over 265 homes for low-income families in the area.
